Compact Industrial Piston Accumulators for up to 350 Bar

Modern materials ensure low weight and high specific performance

Hydraulic accumulators are energy storage devices oras the term accumulator impliesenergy accumulators. Various versions and designs ensure optimum solutions for the most varied tasks. Industrial piston accumulators comprise a fluid side and a gas side, which are separated from one another by a gastight separating piston. The fluid side is connected to the hydraulic system. The industrial piston accumulator’s ability to take in fluid, store it under pressure, and release it as required opens up a broad range of possible hydraulic applications and allows for considerable energy savings to be made.

Hydraulic accumulators can be used to make hydraulic pumps and engines much more economical and efficient. In periods of low consumption, or even when the system is at a standstill, hydraulic accumulators can store the volume of fluid or energy required to meet peak loads. The pump in such a system only has to be adapted to suit the system’s average consumption to make it much more economical. In such cases, the hydraulic accumulator meets peak demand.

Hydraulic accumulators are also essential safety elements insofar as they provide emergency supplies when the primary source of power fails. They are also ideally suited to maintaining levels of pressure, compensating oil leaks, compensating thermal volume, volume compensation in closed circuits, or weight counterbalance.

The newly developed industrial piston accumulator from Integral Accumulator has been optimized in terms of its weight and shape. Using modern technology and high-strength materials such as those used in the construction of automobiles, Integral Accumulator has succeeded in creating a piston accumulator that offers a very high specific performance with a maximum operational pressure of 350 bar. A sealing package that has been optimized in terms of its service life provides a gastight seal for the separating piston.

Hydraulic piston accumulators are available as standard with storage volumes of 2, 4, and 5.7 liters. Thanks to their low weight and compact shape, they are easy to install and remove, making them easy to maintain. When used in conjunction with standard seals, these accumulators can withstand temperatures of between minus 20°C and 100°C. Higher temperatures are possible when used in conjunction with special sealing solutions.
